For over six decades, Roy Foss Automotive Group has been a pillar of the community. We have two GM dealerships in the city of Vaughan, and we are currently looking for a

Facility Maintenance Contractor

who will be engaged on an as-needed basis to perform various odd jobs related to general building and property maintenance; maintaining and managing the physical condition of a dealership's building and facilities. This includes tasks like overseeing repairs, cleaning, landscaping, equipment maintenance, and ensuring the facility meets safety and regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance on equipment and facilities. Conduct plumbing, carpentry, electrical, and painting tasks as needed. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work environment. Coordinate and oversee contractor activities for projects, renovations, and updates. Maintain project files, update documentation, and organize drawings. Prioritize maintenance requests, order necessary supplies, and track budgets. Operate and maintain grounds-keeping equipment and external property. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC systems & landscaping. Quick fixes: TVs installed, small plumbing leaks, electrical, plaster/painting as well as heavy furniture moves. Attend meetings, prepare reports, and support management as needed.

Qualifications & Skills:

High school diploma/GED; apprenticeship or equivalent experience required. AA degree in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance is a plus. Minimum 1 year of building maintenance trades experience. Strong problem-solving, time management, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of contract administration, workplace regulations, and compliance standards. Experience with small repairs, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and email communication. Valid driver's license required; First Aid certification is an asset.

Work Conditions

May require 24/7 availability and overtime as needed. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Travel to on-site and off-site locations required. Exposure to construction sites and trade-related hazards. Work in both indoor and outdoor environments. Use of safety equipment (e.g., steel-toed boots, safety glasses) required.

Terms of Engagement:

Services will be provided on an as-needed basis. Compensation will be agreed upon for each task prior to commencement.
