The DC Operations Manager is responsible for achieving Distribution Center objectives such as gross margins, FTE, expense control, and customer service levels. They will coordinate the implementation of strategies and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Distribution Centers. They will be responsible for budget development, performance monitoring, and reporting. Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Distribution Center operations-related departments and Warehouse Managers to adapt and deploy strategies and tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Distribution Center operations and customer service levels. Ensure that policies and procedures are implemented and followed with the support of the Distribution Centre Management team;
  • Train and coach Warehouse Managers on aspects of Distribution Center operations;
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to define and review operational priorities, opportunities for improvement, and approve an action plan. Support the General Manager in the preparation of business cases for investments at the Distribution Center level;
  • Conduct management meetings with the Distribution Center Management team;
  • Responsible for the negotiation, implementation, and management of collective agreements, as well as the holding of CRT and CSST committees;
  • Develop policies and management plans for returns;
  • Responsible for negotiations with carriers;
  • Member of the regional management committee.


Qualifications
To join our team, you need:
  • 5 years of experience in managing DC operations
  • Demonstrated success in managing gross profits, understanding financial statements, and budgeting for a large-scale operation
  • Experience in the automotive aftermarket is an asset
  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office and WMS
