to lead the upkeep and preventive maintenance of our 73-room hotel and facilities. This position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for guests and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance, including guest rooms, common areas, grounds, building systems, and equipment
Complete or coordinate repairs in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and painting
Conduct regular property inspections and perform preventative maintenance tasks
Respond to urgent maintenance issues or guest concerns in a timely and professional manner
Maintain maintenance logs, records, and supply inventories
Supervise and coordinate with external contractors when required
Ensure compliance with safety standards, fire codes, and health regulations
Collaborate with management on capital improvement projects and budgeting
Support snow removal and seasonal tasks as needed
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance or facilities management experience in a hotel or similar environment
Strong working knowledge of general building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve independently
Physically capable of lifting, bending, standing, and working in various conditions
Strong organizational and communication skills
Flexible availability, including weekends or after-hours emergencies if required
WHMIS certification and trade-related credentials an asset
