KPSquared Dayhome Agencyis seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Dayhome Agency Consultant to provide expert guidance and support to dayhome providers, ensuring compliance with regulations and promoting high-quality child care services. The consultant will assess dayhomes, offer advice on business operations, assist with licensing and regulatory requirements, and support providers in improving their services. This role requires a thorough understanding of Alberta Family Dayhome Standards and Licensing, business practices, and a passion for fostering positive child development in a home-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
• Conduct assessments of dayhome facilities to ensure they meet and maintain provincial licensing and safety standards.
• Provide guidance on best practices for child care, business operations, and health & safety protocols.
• Assist dayhome providers in preparing for inspections and maintaining compliance with Family Dayhome Standards and Children's Services.
• Actively participate in offering pre-approved training sessions on child development, educational programming, and business management for dayhome providers.
• Serve as a point of contact for dayhome providers, addressing questions, concerns, and offering ongoing support.
• Keep up-to-date with changing regulations and industry trends to ensure providers receive the most current information.
• Assist in the coordination a minimum of 6 Personal Development Workshops per year for all registered Dayhome educators.
• Prepare onboarding packages for new Dayhomes
Requirements:
? Certificate or Diploma in ELCC from a recognized post-secondary institution
? Minimum Level 2 Early Childhood Educator Certificate
? Valid First Aid in Child Care Certificate
? Criminal Record Check
? Child Intervention Check
? Certification in Flight: Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework (an asset)
Core Competencies:
? Model positive communication and interaction with staff, families and children.
? Knowledgeable in educator competences and dayhome environments
? Creative and innovative thinking and continual learning
? Profound Microsoft and Excel skills preferred
? Good written and verbal skills
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 - 35 per week
