Position Overview
Connecting Dots is seeking a dedicated and experienced
Daycare Supervisor
to oversee daily operations of our childcare program. This leadership role ensures high standards of care, staff support, compliance, and excellent communication with families.
The Supervisor will
manage and support ECEs/ECEAs
and will
report directly to the Program Director
.
Key ResponsibilitiesProgram & Operations
Oversee daily operations of the daycare, ensuring smooth, safe, and high-quality programming.
Ensure compliance with all licensing requirements, health and safety regulations, and organizational policies.
Maintain documentation, reports, attendance records, and incident logs as required.
Staff Leadership & Support
Provide leadership, mentoring, and support to ECEs and ECEAs.
Conduct regular team meetings, training, and performance feedback.
Assist staff in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate, inclusive, play-based programs.
Create a positive team environment built on communication, respect, and collaboration.
Child & Family Support
Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing environment for children and families.
Address parent inquiries, concerns, and communication professionally.
Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
Reporting Structure
ECEs/ECA staff report to the Daycare Supervisor.
The Daycare Supervisor reports directly to the Program Director.
Qualifications
ECE Diploma or higher
(Supervisor-level certification required according to provincial standards).
Minimum
2-3 years of experience
in a licensed childcare or early learning setting.
Supervisory or leadership experience (required).
Current
First Aid & CPR Level C
certification.
Clear
Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening
.
Strong understanding of child development, licensing regulations, and program quality standards.
Excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Assets (Preferred)
Experience mentoring or supervising educators.
Knowledge of inclusive practices and early intervention strategies.
Experience working with children of diverse needs and backgrounds.
Proficiency in documentation and program planning tools.
