Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Daycare Supervisor to join our team. The supervisor assumes responsibility for the day to day operations of the Child Care Center and reports directly to the directors/owners. As a Daycare Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in creating a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities:
- Implement programs in compliance with the CCEYA.
-Assist with hiring and make recommendations on staffing.
-Implementation of the centres program statement and goals.
-Liaison with governing bodies including, but not limited to Ministry of Education, Public Health, etc.
-Implementing the Christian Curriculum and ensuring academic advancements are made by all children in the centre.
-Assess, coach/train and monitor staff, trainees, students, and volunteers.
-Manage resources effectively and ensure that staff work as members of a team, have input into planning, and have opportunities for improving their professional skills.
-Ensure plans and activities are implemented to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program.
-Communicate with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Keeping parents informed on new developments via professional newsletters, parent messages, emails, and phone calls.
-Maintains waitlist, enrollment, and arrange staff work schedules.
-Answering inquiries for the centre, booking tours, and managing enrolment.
-Maintain up to date knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and policies.
-Coordinate all tasks and activities related to routine Ministry inspections and site visits.
-Resolve any issues or conflicts among staff or children.
-Assist in organizing parent events in the centre including Christmas Concerts/parties, graduation, etc.
-Organizing and implementing monthly staff meetings with prayer/devotional and learning objectives, providing support, encouragement, and recognizing staff for their work and contribution.
-Update policies and procedures as needed.
-Ensure equipment and the facilities are clean, well maintained, and safe at all times.
-Promote a positive image of the Child Care Center to the community.
-Be knowledgeable, informed, and current on childcare philosophy.
Qualifications:
- Hold an ECE designation for a minimum of 5 years and be in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators.
-Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience in a Child Care Center.
-Infant/Child First Aid and CPR Level C with AED certificate.
-Working knowledge of the CCEYA and public health regulations regarding Child Care Centers.
-Fluent oral and written English language communication skills.
-Knowledge of licensing regulations.
-Experience working with emergent curriculum How Does Learning Happen? (HDLH) and Early Learning for Every Child Today (ELECT).
-Food Handler certificate is an asset.
-Skilled at working both independently and within a team.
-Skilled in office works and computer applications including Microsoft word and excel.
-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Successful candidates will be required to provide a current and satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check.
-Patience, compassion, and a genuine love for working with children.
