Job Summary


We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Daycare Program Supervisor/Floor Supervisor to lead and oversee daily operations within a vibrant Montessori inspired early childhood education environment. In this role, you will coordinate classroom activities, supervise staff and caregivers, ensure a safe and nurturing atmosphere for children, and promote developmental growth through engaging programs. Your leadership will inspire a team committed to providing exceptional childcare services, fostering positive interactions, and supporting families in our community.

Duties



Supervise daily classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental goals and safety standards Maintain accurate records, documentation, and staff schedules Maintain accurate records and documentation for staff and children. Ensure compliance with Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations and AHS guidelines Lead and support a team of teachers, caregivers, practicum students and assistants to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education Oversee child engagement, behavior management, and individualized care plans for children with diverse needs. Maintain a safe environment by enforcing health protocols, conducting safety inspections, and responding promptly to emergencies using first aid skills when necessary. Support health, safety, and supervision standards at all times Coordinate curriculum implementation that promotes childhood development, preschool readiness, toddler care, infant care, and early learning milestones Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, documentation standards, and organizational policies at all times

Qualifications & Requirements



Early Learning and Child Care (ELCC)

Level 3 (Supervisor/Director)

certification Minimum

2-3 years of supervisory experience

in a licensed childcare setting Strong knowledge of Alberta childcare regulations and curriculum frameworks Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Valid

First Aid & CPR (Childcare Level)

Clear

Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector

Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Skills



Strong classroom management skills coupled with the ability to lead a team effectively Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Knowledge of Early Learning Child Care Act and Regulations. First aid certification and ability to respond confidently in emergency situations Experience with behavior management strategies tailored to young children Excellent communication skills for interacting with children, parents, staff, and community partners Ability to help staff in organizing daily activities for children while ensuring safety and inclusivity

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
