Little Ladybug Daycare is seeking a dedicated, experienced, and compassionate

Daycare Manager

to lead our team. We are looking for someone who brings strong leadership, professionalism, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Position Summary

The Daycare Manager will oversee the daily operations of the centre, ensure compliance with all Fraser Health licensing regulations, and actively participate in the program as part of ratio. This role requires excellent communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a warm, collaborative approach with children, families, and staff. As this a one classroom centre licensed for 20 children from age 3 to 5 the Manager will also be on the floor, office time will be provided every week to help manage workload.

Qualifications

ECE Certificate

(Valid BC License to Practice)
?

Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a Manager, Supervisor, or Lead in a licensed childcare setting

?

Fluent in spoken and written English

?

Current First Aid & CPR

?

Clear Criminal Record Check

? Up-to-date Immunization Record
? Strong knowledge of

BC Child Care Licensing Regulation

and

Fraser Health Licensing

Responsibilities

Program & Curriculum

Ensure high-quality, developmentally appropriate programming aligned with ECE best practices Centre has it's own curriculum which will be provided to manager and all staff Support educators in planning activities, routines, and inclusive learning environments

Leadership & Staff Management

Supervise and support ECEs, ECE-As Create staff schedules and ensure ratio coverage Lead team meetings, training, and professional development

Operations & Licensing Compliance

Maintain full compliance with Fraser Health Licensing requirements Ensure accurate completion of attendance, incident reports, care plans, and emergency drills Communicate with Licensing Officers, families, and community partners

Family Communication

Build positive, professional relationships with families Address concerns in a timely and respectful manner

In-Ratio Duties

Work in ratio (Admin time provided) Model best practices in supervision, guidance, and safety

Our Philosophy:

Little Ladybug Daycare has a hybrid of Academic and Play based teaching style to ensure children receive the best education. Children will get a head start by learning Academics , but also need time to play and be kids. Play is an important part of children's development, challenging their physical limits, learning to count and literacy skills through play.

This is a part-time position with compensation of: $22 to $24 + $6 W.E. Based on experience. Our center hours are from 7:00am-6:00pm we require the applicant to flexible to work within these hours.
