Director
to join our growing team.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily operations, ensuring the program meets all
licensing, health, and safety standards
while providing a nurturing, inclusive environment for children and staff.
Lead, supervise, and support educators and team members through effective communication, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
Implement and monitor a
play-based, emergent curriculum
aligned with Alberta's FLIGHT framework, promoting creativity, curiosity, and holistic child development.
Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reports required by
licensing officers and governing bodies
, ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Build strong partnerships with families through open communication, collaboration, and engagement in center events and initiatives.
Manage administrative duties including
budgeting, enrollment, fee collection, and staffing schedules
to ensure smooth program operations.
Foster a positive workplace culture that values teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Promote
inclusive practices
that support the diverse needs of all children, collaborating with families and specialists when needed.
Represent the daycare professionally with community partners, regulatory agencies, and the public.
Qualifications:
Valid Alberta Childcare Certification (Level 3) -
mandatory
Previous experience working as Daycare Director -
mandatory
Strong classroom management and leadership skills
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with computer use for documentation and administrative tasks
Excellent time management and organizational abilities
