Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, engaging, and educational environment for children. This role involves not only caring for children but also preparing and serving meals, ensuring food safety, and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen area. A background in food service or the food industry is highly desirable.

Duties

Supervise and engage with children in a safe and nurturing manner. Prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with dietary guidelines. Ensure all food handling practices meet safety standards to maintain a clean kitchen environment. Assist with meal preparation, including cooking and serving food to children. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas. Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive daycare experience for children. Monitor children's behavior and provide guidance as needed to promote positive interactions.

Qualifications

MUST HAVE MINIMUM LEVEL 1, FIRST AID, AND CRIMINAL RECORD

Previous experience in a daycare setting or similar role is preferred. Strong skills in food preparation, cooking, and food service are essential. Knowledge of food safety practices is required to ensure the health and well-being of children. Experience in the restaurant or food industry is a plus, providing valuable kitchen experience. Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with children, parents, and staff members. Pay: $15.00-$18.00 per hour
