Job Description
We are seeking a patient, caring, and reliable 1:1 support aide for a young child with diverse needs. This position is
funded by FSCD (Family Support for Children with Disabilities)
and focuses on helping the child reach developmental and daily living goals in a home and/or community setting.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their life and their family's.
Responsibilities
Provide consistent one-on-one support to the child based on their individual needs and FSCD goals Assist with daily routines, transitions, communication, and skill-building activities Engage the child in play-based and structured learning activities Support the child's emotional regulation and social interactions Document progress and communicate regularly with the family and FSCD team Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment
Requirements:
Previous experience working with children with disabilities or developmental delays (1 year preferred) Understanding of child development and/or behavioral strategies Reliable, compassionate, and patient approach Clear criminal record check and vulnerable sector check ] CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to obtain)
Hours & Compensation:
Hours per week: 25-35 (dependent on FSCD contract) Schedule: Specific days as needed] Wage: 19.14 (dependent on FSCD contract)
