Job Summary:

We are looking for a compassionate and energetic Daycare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support the daycare staff in providing a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children. This role involves assisting with daily activities, supervising playtime, and ensuring the well-being of all children in our care.

Responsibilities:

Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that encourage learning and development. Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. Support children with daily routines, including meals, naps, and bathroom breaks. Maintain a clean and organized daycare environment. Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and staff. Follow all daycare policies, safety procedures, and licensing regulations. Assist with meal preparation, feeding, and cleaning up after snacks and lunch. Help children develop social skills through guided interactions and play. Monitor and report any concerns regarding children's health, behavior, or development to the daycare supervisor.
Qualifications:

Experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, or similar setting is an asset. First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain). Clear criminal record and vulnerable sector check. Patience, creativity, and strong communication skills. Ability to work as part of a team and take direction from lead educators.
