Job Summary


We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate daycare assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals and experience working with dogs of a variety of temperaments. As a daycare assistant you will assist in supervising and caring for dogs present in daycare.

Duties



Provide care for pets, including feeding, walking, and administering medication as needed. Maintain a safe and clean environment for the pets in your care. Engage with pets through playtime and exercise to promote their physical and mental well-being. Communicate effectively with pet owners and team members regarding pet behaviour, health, and any concerns that may arise during your time with them. Perform heavy lifting as required, such as moving pet supplies or assisting larger animals. Record pertinent information to communicate to owner's at the end of the day (walk times, mealtimes, etc). Monitor and ensure safe play between dogs.

Experience



Completion of dog training courses or 1+ years experience in a similar position required Experience in caring for various types of dogs is preferred, demonstrating an understanding of different animal behaviors and needs. Ability to handle heavy lifting associated with pet care tasks is necessary.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 - 24 per week
