Database Developer - Summer Student or COOP Student THE OPPORTUNITY Triton Environmental Consultants (\xe2\x80\x9cTriton\xe2\x80\x9d) is seeking a Data Science Student for a summer work term, supporting a variety of projects across our organization. This position is based out of our Vancouver, BC office. Triton is an employee-owned environmental consulting firm with 30 years of experience responding to the environmental needs of resource developers across all sectors, as well as all levels of government. Our clients look to us to provide a wide range of scientific, technical, and management expertise that merge to provide practical environmental solutions. Our multi-disciplinary team comprises environmental professionals specializing in aquatic and terrestrial biology, soil science, vegetation ecology, environmental assessment, environmental auditing, environmental monitoring/inspection, and resource management. • Work with technical teams and project managers to understand database use case scenarios
• Support the creation, modification, and management of various databases for environmental data to meet business needs.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Currently pursuing a a degree or diploma Computer Science, and/or demonstrated interest in creating and managing databases.
• Ability to confidently communicate ideas to an audience of peers and managers.
• Comfortable and effective working independently and as a member of a cross-functional team.
• Preference will be given to those with experience with database experience.
