- Sr. MongoDB Analyst / Administrator

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced

Sr. MongoDB Analyst/Admin

with proven expertise in

MongoDB Atlas, MongoDB administration, and enterprise infrastructure management

. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in managing large-scale databases within complex environments such as banking, logistics, and financial services. This role requires a blend of

database administration, cloud expertise, automation, and performance optimization

skills to ensure high availability, security, and scalability of mission-critical systems.

Key Responsibilities

Administer, configure, and maintain

MongoDB Atlas, MongoDB Ops Manager, and on-prem MongoDB

environments. Perform

database migrations

(SQL Server ? MongoDB, PostgreSQL upgrades, etc.) ensuring minimal downtime. Handle

backup, recovery, disaster recovery planning, and high-availability strategies

. Implement

security best practices

, including authentication (OIDC), access management, TLS/SSL, and encryption. Collaborate with application teams to support builds, patches, and hotfixes while conducting

impact analysis and query tuning

. Develop and maintain

database schemas, data models, and user access control policies

. Troubleshoot database-related issues, provide root cause analysis, and implement performance tuning measures. Automate repetitive administrative tasks using

Shell scripting, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, or Terraform

. Support multi-database environments including

PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch, Neo4J, and Redshift

. Work with cloud platforms such as

AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenShift, and Cloud Foundry

for database deployment and management. Provide guidance on

database consolidation, optimization, and cost reduction strategies

. Utilize

ServiceNow

for incident, problem, and change management.

Required Skills & Experience

8+ years of experience in

MongoDB administration

in enterprise environments. Strong expertise in

MongoDB Atlas, Ops Manager, and Compass

. Solid experience with

PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and Oracle databases

. Proficiency in

Unix/Linux administration, Shell scripting, and automation frameworks

. Hands-on experience with

cloud platforms

(AWS, Azure, GCP, PCF, OpenShift). Knowledge of

backup/recovery strategies, disaster recovery, and clustering

. Familiarity with

DevOps pipelines, Jenkins, Kafka, and ElasticSearch

. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work across cross-functional teams. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with developers, business users, and infrastructure teams.

Education & Certifications

Bachelor's in Computer Science / Engineering

or related field.

MongoDB Associate DBA & Atlas Administrator

certifications (preferred).

Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

certification (preferred). Oracle Database SQL Certified Expert (a plus). Additional IBM or cloud certifications are an asset.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
