Job Summary

The Data Steward, Supply Chain Master Data is accountable for the management and fitness of assigned supply chain master data elements. Sponsored by data owners and participating in an overall data management process, the Data Steward, Supply Chain Master Data is responsible for managing all aspects of pre-defined data with respect to data integrity, accuracy as well as privacy where required. The Data Steward, Supply Chain Master Data possesses strong process domain and data management knowledge, and has skills in analysis, facilitation and negotiation, and communication.

Job Responsibilities

Defining data definitions for key master data elements that encompass:

Where and how the master data is used in various systems and processes
Naming standards and field-by-field definitions of content requirements from hierarchical and individual master record perspectives
Ensuring that business roles are maintained and updated when required within data definitions

Developing, implementing and providing oversight for CRUD workflows

Supporting the implementation tools, processes and approval workflows for the creation, update and deletion of supply chain master data elements in the context of broader entity master data management practices, ensuring that key systems integration points, data sources and data mapping processes are reflected
Providing hands-on oversight for CRUD processes once implemented, ensuring conformance to defined standards

Facilitating data remediation activities

Leading and directly participating in data remediation activities that close gaps between defined data definitions and existing data, resolving identified inconsistencies.

Audits / Validations - Sustainment

Defining, implementing and operating structured regular audits & validations for the supply chain master data in scope, ensuring continued conformance to CRUD and data definition requirements once data remediation has been completed
Ensuring that security requirements are appropriate in support of CRUD processes, limiting systems access for the creation/update/deletion of supply chain master data elements to appropriate resources

Communication / Training

Train process participants in data definition, data remediation and CRUD processes
Ensure strong integration between diverse stakeholders, including other data stewards across the business, and functional stakeholders of specific data elements
Ensure strong ongoing communication of CRUD process status and issues to key sponsors & leaders
Works in a safe manner collaborating as a team member to achieve all outcomes.

Job Requirements

BS/BA Degree in Information Systems, Business, Engineering or a Supply Chain/Operations discipline; APICS CPIM certification and Lean Six Sigma certification or training would be an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in a Pharmaceutical/Process/Consumer Packaged Goods industry, within an Information Systems, Project Management or Management Consulting Environment, with some exposure to Manufacturing and Packaging processes.
Good understanding of Business processes and regulations in the pharmaceutical industry desired.
Strong functional and data-specific understanding of relevant business process areas, including integration to other areas
Excellent communication skills
Strong knowledge of data management principles, with experience in data analysis processes & tools
Self-starter, with demonstrated ability to plan, lead and manage \xe2\x80\x93 driving cleansing efforts and leading CRUD processes for defined master data elements
Solid ability at conflict resolution \xe2\x80\x93 reconciling competing stakeholder & process needs
