Safe at Home Society (SAHS) is looking for a Data Lead to join our community-based team! This individual must be strengths-based, data literate, and comfortable working independently and with a team. This position will report directly to SAHS\xe2\x80\x99 Program Supervisor but is team focused. MAIN PURPOSE: The Data Lead is responsible for Whitehorse\xe2\x80\x99s By-Name List \xe2\x80\x93 the community\xe2\x80\x99s real time list of individuals and families experiencing homelessness. This role will oversee confidential and quality data, supporting the community to make data driven decisions to end a prevent homelessness. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS AND SCOPE Responsibilities: \xc2\xb7 Enter sensitive client data into excel in an accurate, timely, and consistent manner with the support of Built-for-Zero Canada (BFZ-C) and as directed by Reaching Home: Canada\xe2\x80\x99s Homelessness Strategy \xc2\xb7 Create and upload monthly data reports from the By-Name List (BNL) to BFZ-C, tracking inflow and outflow of individuals experiencing homelessness, and outcomes related to referral and resource allocation \xc2\xb7 Ensure that response time for internal and external client requests related to BNL updates and status can be met in a timely manner \xc2\xb7 Monitor data quality \xc2\xb7 Manage complex situations with frequent changes, delays, and multiple requests (phone, email, and in[1]person) i.e., high volume of requests while addressing written tasks, unexpected events, etc. \xc2\xb7 Support streamlined prioritization and filtering of individuals and families experiencing homelessness from the BNL for the purposes of matching and referral to housing \xc2\xb7 Work with Program Supervisor, Program and Policy Analyst, and Coordinated Access Coordinator to ensure the BNL is accessible and navigable by an alternate to the Data Lead \xc2\xb7 When directed, work collaboratively with SAHS staff, participating agencies, and community members to update the ease and accuracy of submitting documentation related to the BNL \xc2\xb7 Prepare charts, graphs, and other visuals to present data at community events, meetings, and on for community partners and stakeholders \xc2\xb7 Understand the privacy and information sharing rights of vulnerable individuals and help to ensure that processes related to the BNL uphold these rights \xc2\xb7 Work with BFZ-C and SAHS team to implement data dashboards on SAHS website and select and implement other free, relevant information sharing technology at our disposal through the organization \xc2\xb7 Support quarterly and year-end reporting for funders \xc2\xb7 Other responsibilities as they emerge and/or are directed by the Executive Director or Program Supervisor of SAHS Skills & Abilities: \xc2\xb7 Excellent computer skills with proficiency in Excel and data visualization applications, with some database/information management system experience \xc2\xb7 Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team \xc2\xb7 Ability to communicate (written and verbal), complex technical and non-technical issues to a variety of audiences in a coherent and accessible manner \xc2\xb7 Exercises discretion, empathy and maintain confidentiality \xc2\xb7 Able to manage competing priorities/deadlines and coordinate several tasks at one time; \xc2\xb7 Prior training in trauma-informed care considered an asset Qualifications: \xc2\xb7 A post-secondary degree/diploma in a related discipline (i.e. Data Management, Statistics, Computer Science, Social Work,) or equivalent employment, educational, or life experience \xc2\xb7 Awareness of the complexities of homelessness, poverty, and the colonial context of homelessness and housing instability in Yukon \xc2\xb7 Experience in project management, statistics/quantitative research methods, and process analysis an asset \xc2\xb7 Understanding of federal and territorial privacy legislation, client services and Shared Information Systems/Housing Management Information Systems \xc2\xb7 Direct knowledge of community agencies, service providers, and resources in the Yukon, including but not limited to plans/initiatives at the municipal, territorial, and federal levels \xc2\xb7 Understanding of OCAP Principles and Indigenous data sovereignty an asset \xc2\xb7 Familiar with the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, the Final Report of the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls and intersectional approaches to homelessness support programs and coordinated access \xc2\xb7 Criminal Reference and Vulnerable Sector Checks required Safe at Home is committed to employment equity and strongly encourages all qualified applicants to apply.
