Job Description

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented

Data Entry/

Yard Coordinator

to support the logistics, shipping/receiving, and administrative functions within our yard and warehouse operations. This role focuses heavily on

communication, data entry, document management, and coordinating transportation activities

. The ideal candidate will be accurate, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced industrial environment.


This position does

not

involve operating forklifts or heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Assign trailers to appropriate docks based on daily shipping/receiving needs Coordinate incoming deliveries, communicating with quarriers or vendors to manage material receipt Perform accurate and efficient

data entry

, including transportation data, dock assignments, shipment details, and scale ticket information Maintain and update all records related to transportation, deliveries, shipments, and dock scheduling Generate reports and documents related to production, transportation, inventory, and dock usage using tools such as

Microsoft Excel

and the broader Microsoft Office Suite Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks, including paperwork verification, data entry, and communication Collaborate with internal departments (production, logistics, warehouse) to ensure smooth flow of materials and efficient load management Support inventory tracking, identify discrepancies, and report issues to supervisors Monitor yard activity, give direction to drivers, and ensure safe yard traffic flow

Qualifications

Education



High school diploma or equivalent required Additional certification in office administration, logistics, or data entry is an asset

Experience



Previous experience in data entry, administrative support, logistics coordination, shipping/receiving, or transportation documentation is desirable Familiarity with transportation logistics or yard/warehouse operations is a plus

Skills



Microsoft Excel, and working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Professional, proactive approach to problem-solving and task management
