Dispatch Scale Operator/Data Entry
to work seasonally in a full-time capacity at our Acheson, AB asphalt plant. The successful candidate must be able to align with the company's core values: Commitment, Attitude and Respect. The Fath Group: Building Positive Change in Our Communities.
Responsibilities:
Operate the main dispatch scale for various incoming and outgoing product
Provide assistance to the dispatchers with documentation and other duties
Maintain the cleanliness of the work area and scale house
Notify operations of incoming special loads; direct or dispatch as necessary
Maintain accurate inventory transactions within our Scale Software (WeightMate2000)
Answer phones and texts when required
Track inventory/tonnages for jobs as required
Determine content of material entering facility to properly bill the customer
Data entry and filing
Minor office housekeeping
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Completion of Grade 12 or high school diploma
Minimum of 2 years of Scale house experience in a construction company; Minimum 1 year of customer service experience is preferred
Some administrative experience will be an asset
Intermediate knowledge and some experience in using computer programs, especially Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook & Google Sheets)
Valid class 5 driver's license and must have access to a reliable vehicle to commute to the Acheson plant everyday
Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure
High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions
Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision
Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends when required
Additional Information:
This is a seasonal position and is eligible for over-time
