A Utilities/Infrastructure company has enlisted the help of Robert Half to find a highly-skilled and motivated Data Entry Clerk who is ready to start a career with us! We are seeking a data-savvy professional who is keen to pick up on important details and looking to thrive in a fast-paced, growing environment. You will be expected to have intermediate experience in spreadsheets and proficiency in database management. Do you have lightning quick and accurate typing skills and impeccable organization? Then we have the Data Entry Specialist position for you. This long-term contract / temporary Data Entry Clerk role is based in the Markham, Ontario area.

Major responsibilities

- Categorize information into spreadsheets, databases and customer relationship management systems

- Obtain further information for documents that are deemed incomplete

- Search the internet for information

- Review and remove unneeded data as well as combine data from multiple sources

- Examine reports and sheets of data

- Analyze completed work for duplications or errors in content before submitting the final product

- Keep records of tasks, files, and progress
- Ability to effectively interact, verbally and in writing

- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines

- Proven typing accuracy

- Foundational knowledge in Computer Proficiency

- Multiple Data Sources experience highly desired

- Computer Data Entry experience desired

- Proficiency in Computer Operation

- Microsoft Excel experience preferred

- Candidate must have substantial computer experience including word processing, spreadsheets and presentation software, as well as databases and customer database systems
