We are hiring Accounting Clerk for our client located in Mississauga, ON. The company a leading herbal supplement distributor. They operate distribution offices in 17 countries spanning across 3 continents. Schedule: Mon \xe2\x80\x93 Fri, 8:30am \xe2\x80\x93 5:00pm, Full Time Position
WORK LOCATION: Mississauga, Ontario SALARY: $19h to $21h, depending on experience and certification. The Accounting Clerk is a highly organized individual with the ability to multi-task with minimal supervision. RESPONSIBILITIES \xe2\x88\x92 Management of A/R, A/P, matching of received payments to appropriate invoices and bills \xe2\x88\x92 Maintain accounting records and client files using QuickBooks Desktop, and QuickBooks Online \xe2\x88\x92 Reconciliation of different types of bank statements \xe2\x88\x92 Issue and save client order confirmations, invoices, payment receipts, and refunds/credits.
\xe2\x88\x92 Create invoices according to company practices. \xe2\x88\x92 Create reports regarding the status of customer accounts as requested. \xe2\x88\x92 Monitor and manage collections daily.
\xe2\x88\x92 Manage client credit card payments.
\xe2\x88\x92 Manage outstanding debt and resolve client payment inquiries/issues.
\xe2\x88\x92 Assist the Accounting Advisor with weekly EFT payments and bill filing.
\xe2\x88\x92 Assist the Accounting Advisor when required, with accounting activities such as payroll, taxes, workers insurance, investigating historical data, monthly and year-end reconciliations, and general ledger management.
\xe2\x88\x92 Maintain accounting records and files.
\xe2\x88\x92 Performs other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Excel, Word, QuickBooks.
  • 1 plus years experience working in accounting.
  • Strong ability to analyze data and produce reports.
  • Business acumen and superior attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of data entry accuracy
  • Superior interpersonal and written / verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter and action/results oriented.
  • Expert with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.
