Job Description

This is a hands-on Netezza & GCP engineer position. The individual in this role will be involved throughout the migration from Netezza to GCP development lifecycle for the Enterprise Data Platform with the primary responsibility of developing data processing pipelines with appropriate automation tooling in support of the platform.

Bachelor\'s degree in computer science or engineering

Responsibilities include:

• Installing and maintaining operating environments.
• Monitoring these operating environments.
• Responding effectively and speedily to any problems.
• Maintaining a professional demeanor with clients and colleagues.
• Providing training and support to On-Premises (Netezza) and Google cloud environments.
• Ensuring operating environments stay safe and secure.
• Updating any software and hardware where necessary.
• Documenting all reported malfunctions and actions taken in response.
• Complete assigned coding deliverables.
• Peer review work products for completeness, quality, and compliance with established project standards.
• Provide technical assistance and guidance to other developers on the team.

• Must have experience in Onshore/Offshore co-ordination & translate the technical information among team members & client. Must be Google Data Engineer/ Cloud Engineer Certified.
• Strong Datawarehouse concept
• Google Engineering (Big Query, Google Cloud Storage, Data flow)
• Must have strong expertise in the following fundamental GCP Services: Cloud Storages, App Engine, Google Kubernetes Engine, Cloud Dataflow, Cloud Dataproc , Cloud Pub/SuB, Cloud Sql, Big Query, Big Table \xc2\xb7 Cloud Datalab, Data Studio, Cloud ML \xc2\xb7 Cloud Storage Transfer Service, Stackdriv
• Prior experience in designing and engineering Big Data solutions on Public clouds including GCP
• Ability to translate requirement to architecture and explain to development team
• Design, Deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant ETL / Bi / Bigdata / Analytics systems on GCP
• Implement and control the flow of data to and from GCP
• Select the appropriate GCP service based on compute, data, and security requirements
• Migrate on-premises workloads to GCP
• Trouble shoot and performance tuning of GCP Services
• Must be able to code in either Java or Python
• Well verse with Agile Methodology. Must have executed projects in Agile.
• Good communication skill and ability to elicit requirement from business users
