Data Centre HVAC Mechanicto join our operations team at our data centre facility located in Cambridge, Ontario.

TITLE:

Data Centre HVAC Mechanic (Day and Rotating Shift Positions Available)

LOCATION:

Cambridge, ON Canada

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As a member of the operations team, under the supervision of the Critical Facilities Manager, the duties and responsibilities of the Data Centre HVAC Mechanic include, but are not limited to, the following:



Work closely with lead HVAC mechanic to gain knowledge and skills as required Coordinate, conduct or assist with all preventative, corrective and emergency maintenance activities, including those activities performed by Ascent's clients or vendor staff Manage client and vendor staff in the maintenance of buildings and grounds Perform initial troubleshooting to mechanical and infrastructural systems, HVAC systems, plumbing systems, life safety systems, security systems, roofs, drains, shop equipment, emergency power systems, and systems furniture Routinely inspect buildings, space, grounds and/or equipment regularly for problematic or unsafe conditions Perform and oversee general and preventative maintenance tasks including equipment checks, equipment performance monitoring, cleaning, lubrication and service of a wide variety of components/devices Coordinate, conduct or assist with facility renovations, upgrades, and build-outs including overseeing vendors Manage and maintain site Building Management Systems, CCTV, Access Control System Support overall site operation of the data center facility Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a valid 313A Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Systems license (Red Seal Designation preferred) Must have a valid Gas Technician 2 Certificate (G1 preferred) Must have or be willing to obtain an Ozone Depletion Prevention Certificate Sound working knowledge of CSA B149.1 High regard for health and safety Must be customer and team oriented, as well as self-motivated and able to work successfully with minimal supervision Minimum 3 years HVACR work experience required High School Diploma or equivalent required Good communication and organizational skills are required Self-starter, with developed analytical and troubleshooting skills Must have a valid drivers license and reliable transportation Proficiency with basic operations of a computer including knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook

WORKING CONDITIONS

Required to maintain high level of facility cleanliness and equipment reliability which will require attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Walking and/or standing for long periods of time will be required Bending, stooping, and lifting equipment may be required
