Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and technically skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining and supporting our data centre infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Duties

Install, configure, and maintain network equipment including Cisco routers, Juniper devices, and Ethernet cabling. Conduct routine inspections and troubleshooting of CCTV systems, VoIP telecommunication setups, and other data centre hardware. Assist with network installation projects, ensuring adherence to schematics and technical specifications. Perform equipment repair and maintenance on servers, switches, routers, and other hardware components using hand tools. Support electrical systems related to data centre operations, including wiring and circuit troubleshooting. Document network configurations, schematics, and system layouts accurately for future reference. Collaborate with team members to resolve technical issues swiftly while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Requirements

Proven experience with computer networking concepts such as Ethernet, Cisco routers, VoIP systems, and network installation procedures. Strong knowledge of telecommunication systems including CCTV, Avaya systems, and schematics interpretation. Practical skills in equipment repair, electrical work, and the use of hand tools. Familiarity with Juniper network devices and general computer hardware maintenance. Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics effectively. Experience working within a data centre or similar environment is desirable. Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently. Relevant electrical or telecommunication qualifications are advantageous but not essential. Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour
