What success looks like in this role:

  • May function as team or site leader providing direction to other technicians \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs server and storage break and fix. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides support for Enterprise products \xe2\x80\xa2 Desk side support specialist \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides support for enterprise storage products \xe2\x80\xa2 Supports Networking products - including Cisco certification requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides support for Payment systems products and Unisys core-CMOS products \xe2\x80\xa2 May have project management responsibilities for smaller projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Possesses other, high skilled, specialized technical skills. \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides support for software, hardware and networking support for desktops, laptops and servers \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides maintenance and support on legacy products \xe2\x80\xa2 Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers and peripherals \xe2\x80\xa2 Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required \xe2\x80\xa2 Tests and certifies PCs, networks, servers and client approved applications \xe2\x80\xa2 Provides follow-up on problems or escalation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress. \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures customer satisfaction throughout the service delivery transaction \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensures client specific Service Level Agreements are met and incident and request tickets are updated accordingly within the ticketing system \xe2\x80\xa2Perform IMAC and exposure to project management \xe2\x80\xa2 Support Unisys Legacy products
This position requires an on-site presence in Data Center environment.
  • Tech will provide technical support to Customer which will include:
Break-fix support for new rack deployment

Incident management support for sustain operations
  • Project related support
Any DC related activity as directed by Customer

Some examples: Replace a Network Device. Configure a network device or a server, Perform power cycle, Perform patch management / cabling etc.
  • Reporting:
\xe2\x9c\x93 Tech will assist L3 Tech or Local ZT Services Leadership in generating periodic reports per customer specification
  • Participate in failure analysis within Data center environment as directed by Customer Engineering team
You will be successful in this role if you have:
  • High school degree required \xe2\x80\xa2 2-4 years of hands-on technical experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Electronics training equivalent to at least 2 years of technical institutes, polytechnic and/or military technical school/universities and/or applicable related technical experience. \xe2\x80\xa2Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or Electronics training equivalent to at least 2 years of technical institutes, polytechnic and/or military technical school/universities and/or applicable related technical experience \xe2\x80\xa2 Active directory/exchange server and operating systems knowledge \xe2\x80\xa2 A+ certification a plus \xe2\x80\xa2 Specific manufacturer certification as required, i.e. EMC, Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, Apple, Unisys. COMPTIA certifications, and NETWORKPLUS and for legacy products, must have current product training \xe2\x80\xa2 Knowledge of client specific internal procedures and service delivery requirements. \xe2\x80\xa2 Advanced degree of knowledge of hardware and software including Unisys/Microsoft/Network operating systems and advanced troubleshooting capabilities on software and hardware problems including DTS, Legacy systems, storage systems and interconnectivity problems \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to test and certify mainframes and/or servers with associated peripherals \xe2\x80\xa2 using mechanical capability and an understanding of ESD procedures \xe2\x80\xa2 Client and/or governmental clearance may be required Microsoft Server Certified Professional Certification and/or CCNA Certification is an added advantage. \xe2\x80\xa2Police or criminal background verification may be required
  • Supports Core, server products
  • Installs and maintains PCs and associated software, networks, servers and peripherals
  • Supports network products from operational and maintenance perspectives
  • Performs installs, moves, adds and changes as required
  • Provides follow-up on problems or escalation.
  • Maintains a high degree of professionalism in actions, demeanor and dress.
  • Requires a High School degree
  • Degree in a computer-related field. Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree preferred or 3 plus year of equivalent experience. Computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, or related discipline
  • Preferred Certifications
  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent.
  • CompTIA Server+ or equivalent.
  • MCP/MCSE Certification is a plus
  • A+ certification
  • Specific Manufacturers certifications as required. I.e. EMC, Dell, Cisco, Microsoft, Apple, Unisys. COMPTIA, and NETWORKPLUS
  • Troubleshooting software and hardware problems
  • Knowledgeable in servers, Microsoft/Linux/Unix applications, network protocol, internetworking, configuration, and possess advanced PC support capability.
  • Ability to test and certify PC, networks, servers and client /Unisys approved software applications and associated peripherals
  • Knowledge of client specific internal procedures and service delivery requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and client communication skills.
  • Client and/or governmental clearance may be required.
  • Exceptional server hardware knowledge with deep understanding of all component & system type failures.
  • Participation in RCA or Failure analysis history.
  • Experienced in controlled experiments to determine root cause
  • Proven experience in SW and FW tools of various Server OEMs
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows scripting is preferred
  • Familiarity with deployment technologies such as WDS, PXE, DHCP & FTP.
  • Working knowledge of Windows Server OS & Winpe OS administration.
  • Working knowledge of Linux PXE services.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in investigation of issues
  • Ability to regularly lift and move server systems that weigh up to 70 LBs
  • Bilangual: French and English
