The TD Bank API Program is the Bank's organizational unit champions the creation and use of TD APIs, the department transiting the Bank's technology integration to use Web Restful APIs. API program establishes a standardized technologies and methodologies on building APIs in the bank.
Job Requirements

Other Technical Requirements:
  • Developing, maintaining, governing, and publishing API Specifications, API frameworks (Nodejs and Java), API Security standards in the Bank.
  • Support LOB API development team to help them with design of API.
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools for API Specification and Operations, including: Confluence, Jira, Jenkins, Git, Nexus, Veracode, Cloudify, Salt, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure services.

  • Computer/data related University degree
  • Experience creating API data models for APIs based on industry common data modeling standards (3+ years)
  • Experience creating and maintaining all legacy /Swagger 2.0 and Open API 3.0 documentation repository (2+ year)
  • API design ecosystem: Creating and developing enterprise API design with Swagger, Open API, RAML, YAML, API Gateway or API Portal (4+ years)
  • Experience with REST APIs & creating json schemas (4+ years)
  • Banking Industry experience as a Data/Information Architect (5+ years)
  • 5+ years of experience with programming languages such as NodeJS , Java, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge on Agile framework, JIRA and confluence
  • Possess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Deep understanding and hands-on experience building an API and API Specification
  • Ability to understand complex information, summarize and present in a clear, concise fashion
  • A self-starter, able to pick-up projects in mid-flight or start net new immediately
  • At ease with senior management and able to facilitate meetings in a professional and efficient manner
  • Excellent analytical, facilitation, influencing, negotiation, problem-resolution skills and consensus building skills

You will be a key player of the API Specification & Data Management team, providing centralized support for the overall API Specification, API Book of record, strategy and blueprint. The successful candidate will build and maintain the API Specification data library, master data and metadata. In addition, he/she will create the API Specification ontology, taxonomy, schema, classification methodology to support the domain APIs. This role is responsible for enabling the achievement of creating a straight through digitized processing that accommodates complex API specification (and associated data) create/search/ extraction/capture/retrieval/classification/indexing.

TD is looking for a Data Architect who is enthusiastic and passionate about governing data for APIs. As a part of Enterprise API Management team, Data Architect will be primarily responsible for designing, writing and maintaining API schemas and API specifications using Open API Standards (OAS3).

Job Accountabilities:
  • Define API Specification data modeling and provide flexible and enhanced search capability
  • Create API Design using Open API Specification Standards (OAS3) and best practices for RESTful design, produce configuration, mappings and sample code aiming at developers.
  • Maintain and Publish OAS3 specifications to align with releases following industry version control process.
  • Create API Data models for APIs based on industry common data modeling standards including FSDM, ISO, BIAN etc.
  • Develop an accurate model that suits the line of business based on discussions with domain experts.
  • Act as the digital data steward for API Management by ensuring that API Specification, taxonomy and data quality standards are applied and implemented.
  • Create high quality technical content in easy, clear and simple language to APIs and thereby contribute to API discovery.
  • Prototyping the API Design with tools like Stoplight, Postman, Swagger Codegen, etc. by understanding requirements from various lines of business and product owners.
