Reporting to the Director, Technology Partnerships & Innovations, the Data Architect is a key technical leadership role within the Rogers network organization. We are looking for a seasoned and strong technology leader with a solid understanding and work experience across multiple network domains and have the business acumen to help lead the development and delivery of innovation solutions, working collaboratively with our strategic partners, technology stakeholders, data management, and business teams.

What you'll be doing:

• Serve as Technology Lead to manage and collaborate with strategic partners
• Contribute to the development of thought leadership and partner engagements.
• Support partnership activities and draw commercially relevant insights from emerging industry trends, technologies, and business models.
• Lead the development of new use cases, offering detail specifications, and help promote the delivery of innovation offerings
• Architect and deliver solutions across multiple network domains (i.e. Access, IP Transport, Edge, Core and IT platforms)
• Develop AI/ML driven models and derive data insights from network and/or external sources
• Overlook projects spanning multiple partnerships and ensure cross functional alignment, scope definition, and executional plans
• Integration of partners' products, testbeds and solutions into Rogers 5G Network environment
• Work closely with Business and Technology stakeholders - Product development, Engineering designs, plans and implementation
• Support Marketing lead technology demonstrations of new applications, services, and use cases Opportunities for presenting material to internal business and technology stakeholders, as well as external clients and partners
• Opportunities for presenting impactful presentations to internal business and technology stakeholders, senior executives, as well as external clients and partners
• Organize and host Technology Summits and Innovation Conferences

What you have:

• 10+ years of experience in technology, engineering, innovations and telecom
• Experience in Agile Scrum work methodology
• Experience and demonstrated solid understanding of Wireless Radio Access, Core, IP Networks, MEC, Cloud, and NFV
• Strong data analytics experience and worked with developing AI and ML Deep learning models.
• Strong business acumen with good knowledge of overall telecom industry and business and product development
• Expertise in 4.5G LTE, 5G NSA/SA, 5GC, and next gen wireless technologies and architecture
• Familiar with leading vendor/suppliers product roadmaps (Ericsson, Cisco, Microsoft Azure, AWS Wavelength Zones, Nokia, HPe, Qualcomm, GCP, Nvidia, etc)
• Strong pulse on industry trends, standards, vendor ecosystem, publications and media
• Strong and confident communicator to both technical and non-technical audience, both written and verbal
• Adaptive, high level of organization, ability to multi-task and prioritize work load
• Ability to manage risk, de-escalations and problem solving
• Strong technical leader who knows how to build/get the most out of their team and inspire/encourage others to reach goals through innovation quality and excellence
• Good team player, confident in engaging and collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders
• Self initiative, good grasp of current and longer term goals
• Good understanding of budgetary process, defend project spends, and YoY forecasting
