Reporting to the Manager of Analysis and Reporting, the role of Bank Reporting Analyst will support aspects of Manulife Bank\xe2\x80\x99s customer and data reporting requirements, including product performance dashboards across all of the Bank\'s product lines. This role will work closely with the Product Managers and collaborate with the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s Risk Analytics team, leveraging best practice in data analytics and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data reporting, manipulation, and a demonstrated ability to solve analytical problems.

Key Accountabilities:

Data Reporting: Perform ad hoc analysis and communicate results to stakeholders in a clear and effective manner. Key areas of focus include product and customer segmentation, as well as analytics to support assumptions in business cases.

Performance dashboards: Maintain and enhance Bank performance dashboards to provide insight and inform decisions on the product portfolio as well as measure the success of strategic promotions and cross sell initiatives.

Competitive reporting: Perform ad hoc competitive analysis and reporting on industry trends, market share as well as specific product and marketing initiatives.

Collaboration with Canadian Division customer data and segmentation initiatives:

Liase with other areas in Canadian Division to leverage customer data and segmentation initiatives and best practice.

Subject matter expertise:

Develop deep subject matter expertise in all stages of the bank reporting process, including data extraction, analysis, interpretation, and validation.

Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in an analytical or quantitative discipline (e.g. Math, CS, Engineering, Economics).

Experience in an analytical environment manipulating large amounts of data (e.g. Data Analyst, Business/Operations Analyst or Statistician), preferably within a financial institution.

Business Intelligence experience, including the generation of analytical reports for internal or external customers.

Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems in a clear and concise manner to senior colleagues.

Experience with the application of statistical principles in a business setting is an asset.

Familiarity with computer programming concepts and database architecture is an asset.

Previous experience in consumer goods and/or product and marketing organization is an asset.

Technical Skills:

Advanced level Excel (Pivot Tables, VBA Macros)

Intermediate level SQL (Joins, Aggregate Functions, Sub Queries)

Experience with statistical software such as SAS, Python, Matlab, or R is an asset

Experience with Power BI is an asset

Experience with SalesForce is an asset

Salary & Benefits

The annual base salary for this role is listed below.

Primary Location Waterloo, Ontario

Salary range is expected to be between $55,125.00 CAD - $91,875.00 CAD
