Summary

Citi is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented IT Lead Business Analyst to join our dynamic Global Spread Products Technology (GSP) organization. Global Spread Products (GSP) is the primary source of capital for corporations, governments, and non-profits, providing liquidity and innovative solutions globally across the credit, municipal, and securitized markets.

GSP\xe2\x80\x99s activities include origination, structuring, investing, lending, and market making and it offers a variety of products including, but not limited to, corporate bonds, emerging markets bonds, asset backed securities, mortgage backed securities, collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), municipal securities, agency securities, short term interest rate products, loans, letters of credit, and derivative instruments, such as interest rate swaps, total return swaps, rate locks, and credit default swaps.

This individual\xe2\x80\x99s primary area of focus will be for GSP\xe2\x80\x99s Data and Reporting team, where they will partner closely with our application development, product management and business teams to manage our book of work and help drive our technology and reporting strategy. The business analyst will also work closely with front office users to capture business requirements especially related to data onboarding and critical reports which drive competitive advantage and enable our business to be the best for our clients. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to Data and Reporting team to provide risk and control with respect to multiple business lines and provide other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.



The IT Business Lead Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and document requirements, perform data analysis and help create actionable reports.

Responsibilities:

Formulate and define systems scope and objectives for complex projects and foster communication between business leaders and IT.

Consult with users and clients to solve complex system issues/problems through in-depth evaluation of business processes, systems and industry standards and recommends solutions.

Support system change processes from requirements through implementation and provide input based on analysis of information.

Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and provides user with subject matter expertise.

Identify and communicate risks and impacts, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

Act as advisor or coach to new or new analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned.

Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm\'s reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

6-10 years of relevant experience

Must have at least 5 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in financial industry with knowledge of institutional trading

Experience in data analysis with intermediate/advanced Microsoft Office Suite skills

Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.

Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication

Proven ability to manage multiple activities and build/develop working relationships.

Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering accurate and high-quality work.

Demonstrated ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Education:

Bachelor\'s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

Master\'s degree preferred.

Additional

Responsibilities:

Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple teams and other units to meet organizational objectives.

Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of scope, objectives and system enhancements for complex, high-impact projects, and reports.

Assist in UAT and provide ongoing support for successful implementation of projects.

Work with global BA and Dev teams to perform data analysis. Basic knowledge of data modeling is necessary.

Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.

Collaborate with developers to translate business requirements into technically feasible and efficient solutions and transition requirements to QA team and assist in test scenario development.

Participate in project planning, estimation, and risk assessment activities with Business/Dev/QA teams.

Additional Qualifications:

6-10 years of experience

Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) with extensive experience using Excel for data analysis.

Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle

Understanding of Data Modeling and ER model

Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis

Functional knowledge of Fixed Income trading flows

Experience writing SQL and analyzing and producing data models.

Prior experience working with front office stakeholders (Traders, Quants, Bankers) or finance/product control teams.

Ability to create presentations for senior management provide input on overall product roadmap and strategy.
