Responsibilities

OVERALL PURPOSE:
The Data Analytics Associate supports the Business Analytics & Insights team by contributing to the collection, validation, and reporting of corporate performance data. This role plays a key part in ensuring data accuracy and reliability, supporting benchmarking activities, and delivering analytical services using modern business intelligence platforms. Working under the guidance of a senior analyst, the Data Analytics Associate helps drive data-informed decision-making and continuous improvement across BCRTC.
Qualifications

EDUCATION
Requires a 2-year post-secondary diploma in Business Management and Analytics, Applied Science, Engineering, Statistical Analysis, Information Technology or a related discipline. Strong understanding of business analytics and data analytics is required.
EXPERIENCE
Requires 1.5 years of technical experience in designing, implementing and maintaining databases and developing Business Intelligence solutions using tools such as PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI and Fabric. Hands-on experience in programming languages is required (e.g. SQL, R, Python). A further period of up to six (6) months on the job is required to become familiar with the existing systems and processes.

A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.

Wage: $40.84 per hour
Please note: All new employees will be subject to a 6-week trainee rate at 75% of the hourly rate.
