Data lovers, unite! Lumerate is looking for an awesome new Canada-based candidate to welcome to our Data Team as our first Data Analyst in a new division! We are looking for someone passionate about the intersection of life sciences and technology.

We\'ve launched two additional brands now, Zapyrus and Crofter, under this framework.

We are now looking to launch in our 4th industry!

The data analyst role will be a key driver to accelerating our entry into this new industry. If you\'re someone who finds joy in solving new data-related puzzles and likes to think outside the box, then this position might be for you.

All about you:

  • You have an educational background in life sciences or several years of life sciences work experience and ALSO have an interest in data management and process optimization.
  • You consider yourself above average when it comes to digging for information online.
  • You enjoy working in small team environments, but you will be comfortable and highly focused working independently/remotely throughout the day.
  • While you are creative and full of ideas, you will also be happy with some routine tasks throughout the day.
As our Data Analyst your responsibilities will include:
  • Taking on various independent projects to drive our go-to-market data strategy.
  • Supporting the New Market Development Manager to fulfill research requests from early adopter users by collecting and analyzing datapoints about key organizations.
  • Preparing, curating, and publishing news and insights from organizations to our users
  • Maintaining and updating our database of companies, ensuring we have the best coverage of the industry and the most accurate data possible.
  • Contributing ideas to help improve efficiencies for the data team.
  • Wear multiple hats to support our launch in this new market wherever you might be needed.
What we\'d love to see in your work history:
  • You have an undergraduate degree in life sciences (biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, pharmacy) and have at least 2 years of related industry work experience OR you do not have an undergraduate degree but have 3+ years related scientific work experience.
  • You have some knowledge of the pharmaceutical/drug development/medical device industry as a whole (although direct experience in the field isn\'t necessary).
  • You\'re curious about the intersection of biology and technology.
  • You have meticulous attention to detail, which is why you\'ll notice we\'ve asked you to please mention "WALL-E" in your cover letter.
  • You consider yourself to be above average when it comes to spreadsheets and manipulating data.

Location:

This is a remote position but if you are in the Greater Toronto Area, you are also welcome to choose our hybrid model: coming into our West Toronto office 3x per week.

Salary: $60K - 70K Annually + Milestone-based bonus.
