The C.M.Ledoux Health Centre requires A Data Analyst. The incumbent will work under the direct supervision of the Director of Health. The Data Analyst will work as a member of the Health Staff Team to assist staff with data processing to ensure that successful programs and services are being delivered in accordance with policies and procedures set out by Chief and Council of Mistawasis Nehiyawak.
THE POSITION
The Data Analyst will play a lead role in the data management process at C.M.Ledoux Health Centre. Working closely with Health Centre staff, the Data Analyst is responsible for providing information about the process, coordinating data collection, data entry, analysis and dissemination, ensuring processes are followed and timelines are met. Data Analyst also promotes and builds awareness of the value of data among co-workers and in the community.
WORK DUTIES
Oversee and manage the Health data management process
Convene and support staff in data collection, entry, analysis and dissemination
Assist in planning and development of in-community surveys as needed
Organize logistics for in-community surveys as needed
Assist co-workers with development/implementation of on-line questionnaires, data collection, and input
Support ongoing quality improvement efforts respecting data management
Raise awareness and understanding of data management internally and externally
Participate in networking meetings and training sessions as available
Support the development and ongoing quality improvement of data management
Work co-operatively, professionally with all other staff
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in data analysis and visualization methods
Technical expertise regarding data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
Understanding of healthcare procedures
Proven ability to work with minimal supervision
Supporting change within an organization to improve quality
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Ability to work well under pressure, with demonstrated time-management skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Computer knowledge
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
Must have access to a reliable, registered vehicle.
Must be able to provide a Criminal Records Check (CPIC)
Must live a 'healthy' life style
