Higher Ground Health Club is looking for a great

Zumba and Barre Instructor

to work as a Class instructor and be a leader of movement as medicine.

Who are we?

Higher Ground was founded in May 2022. Our concept is to integrate sport medicine with a fully built fitness centre. We are here to create Canada's BEST movement as medicine centre: a true HEALTH CLUB. We have a beautiful 40,000 sq ft facility at the corner of Yonge and College in downtown Toronto. Our Clinic boasts Physiotherapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage, and our very own Sport Medicine Physician. The Fitness floor has a turf area, countless cardio pieces, a massive weight room and three separate studios. And if you just want to catch your breath we have a sauna, a steam room, a lounge and a cafe to get a coffee or a smoothie.

The Job:

Teach top quality Barre and Zumba classes to returning and new clients on a weekly basis Candidates may be able to teach both types or just one. We're also happy to entertain other dance based classes too! Preference will be given to those with a proper dance background.

The ideal Candidate:

Has at least 1 year of industry experience teaching classes Is qualified in some fashion for teaching the class you plan on teaching.

Requirements (don't apply unless this is you)

Must be able to get to the Yonge/College area consistently without the use of a car. Must be available to teach on at least 3 days a week either over lunch, after 5pm or on weekends.. Must be a great communicator in English.

Compensation:

Starting rate: $40-$85/hr depending on experience, education, and client retention.

Commissions may be added with experience and good results.
