Responsibilities:
Choreograph engaging and age-appropriate routines tailored to each class level and style.
Plan and deliver weekly lesson plans that emphasize proper technique, skill development, and creativity.
Teach weekly children's dance classes, introducing new material consistently to keep dancers motivated and progressing.
Commit to a regular teaching schedule and uphold reliability as a team member.
Greet dancers and families warmly, fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment from the moment they arrive.
Adapt instruction to meet the needs of students at varying levels, ensuring each child feels supported and challenged.
Create a positive, encouraging, and inspiring classroom atmosphere that nurtures both confidence and growth.
Follow studio standards and safety protocols to maintain a safe and enjoyable learning environment.
Use innovative and creative teaching approaches to engage young dancers of all abilities.
Provide excellent customer service by acting as a knowledgeable and approachable resource for families.
Encourage student progression by promoting classes and guiding dancers toward the next appropriate level.
Stay current with dance industry trends and integrate fresh ideas into choreography and teaching methods.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-4 years of dedicated dance training.
Strong proficiency in a variety of dance styles, including but not limited to Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Acrobatics.
Previous teaching experience is preferred, particularly with children's classes.
Ability to effectively teach and engage students of different ages and skill levels.
Reliable, professional, and passionate about sharing the art of dance.
CPR and First Aid certification is considered an asset.
