Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. Experience teaching acro, tap, jazz and hip-hop are necessary! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dance and experience in teaching various age groups and styles. This role involves developing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, choreographing for a final showcase and fostering a love for dance among students. The Dance Instructor will play a crucial role in nurturing talent and encouraging creativity in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive dance curricula tailored to different skill levels and age groups. Teach various dance styles, ensuring students understand techniques, rhythms, and choreography. Creative Movement, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Acro and Tap. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment. Provide individualized attention to students to support their growth and development in dance. Organize performances and recitals to showcase student progress and foster community engagement.

Skills

Strong background in dancing with proficiency in ballet, acro, tap and other dance styles. Experience with curriculum development and lesson planning for diverse learners. Classroom management skills that promote a productive learning atmosphere. Ability to work effectively with children Experience in tutoring or teaching adult education is a plus. Knowledge of behavior management techniques and childhood development principles. A passion for nurturing creativity and encouraging self-expression through dance. Contract length: 8 months

Pay: $40.00-$50.00 per hour
