Over the years, dance has become popular not only through movies, but recently with TV shows such as "Dancing with the Stars," "So you think you can Dance Canada," and "Canada's got Talent." Not to mention social media and You Tube.
Today, our organization continues to grow and modernize the art of social dancing - From the Classic Waltz, Rock n Roll swing, 1970s disco hustle, country dancing, the passionate Tango, and to the recent trend of Latin dances such as salsa, bachata, and merengue; Fred Astaire Dance Studios is the world leader in top quality dance instruction.
Fred Astaire Dance Studios Oakville are currently looking for full time dance instructors. Initial dance training and teaching methods are provided as well as continual advanced training.
Responsibilities
Teach dance classes to students of varying ages and skill levels, focusing on technique, choreography, and performance.
Develop lesson plans that cater to the needs of individual students while promoting group dynamics.
Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their dance abilities.
Organize and participate in performances, events and competitions as needed.
Create a safe and welcoming environment for all students, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being during classes.
Collaborate with other instructors to enhance the overall curriculum and student experience.
Requirements
- Dance experience is an asset, but NOT required
- Able to be on your feet and moving for an entire day
- Interpersonal Communication / People Skills
