Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our team for a contract with a large financial company. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum 'D' license and strong understanding of commercial driving and MOT regulations (air brake designation not required). This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to be available on short notice for deployment. A background in mechanical knowledge is a plus, as it will aid in troubleshooting any minor issues that may arise during transport and/or deployment.

Responsibilities

Safely operate vehicle to designated locations in Ontario and beyond. Daily setup and shut down of unit during deployments. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours and mileage as required by MOT regulations. Communicate effectively with insurance company representatives during deployment Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving to ensure safety on the road. Maintain cleanliness of unit before, during and after deployment.

Experience

Evidence from previous employer of experience in commercial driving or freight transportation within last 3 years. Minimum 'D' license required (air brake designation not necessary) Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance is a plus, enabling effective troubleshooting during operations. Strong communication skills are essential for coordinating with company employees. Ability to handle light-duty physical tasks during deployments.
