Position Overview: The Cybersecurity Engineer will have the responsibility of assisting with the strategic enterprise cybersecurity and IT risk management program. They will support the objectives necessary to manage the organization\'s risk and ensure effective governance, system availability, integrity, and confidentiality.

The value placed on the cybersecurity team is as the first and last line of defense against protecting data from cyber-attacks. An experienced cybersecurity specialist is being sought, someone who can proactively prevent breaches, understand when they occur, and remediate them promptly. In this role, the candidate will help monitor data, detect security events, and recommend solutions for vulnerabilities. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of cybersecurity standards, certifications, and cybercriminal behavior.

This position reports to the Manager, Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:

  • As the Cyber Security Engineer, they will proactively uncover digital vulnerabilities and ensure information assets are adequately protected.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security.
  • Assessing systems within cloud environments focusing on security posture.
  • Monitoring SIEM and analyzing potential threat events.
  • Identifying potential Indicators of Compromise (IOC\'s).
  • Supporting Vulnerability Management and Pen Testing.
  • Managing external and internal vulnerability scans, manual security testing.
  • Providing testing reports, presentations, and briefings.
  • Overseeing Technology governance and policies.
  • Configuring IDS systems and analyzing firewall traffic.
  • Participating in cybersecurity strategy, security awareness programs, security architecture, and security incident response.
  • Educating employees on appropriate cybersecurity risk and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborating with IT compliance team(s) as needed and coordinating audits to ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Maintaining and publishing cybersecurity policies, standards, and guidelines.
  • Evaluating new cybersecurity threats and IT trends and developing effective security controls.
  • Supporting cybersecurity awareness programs.
  • Supporting disaster recovery policies and standards to align with business continuity goals.
  • Responding to potential security breaches, coordinating response, and recommending corrective actions.
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry and regulatory trends for enterprise technology.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: * Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in Cybersecurity.
  • Experience with cloud environments and cloud security.
  • Knowledge of relevant cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in vulnerability scans and penetration tests.
  • Knowledge of ITIL (certification preferred) with respect to security administration and governance.
  • Experience with cybersecurity and risk metrics for reporting.
