Join our team as a Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst who is primarily responsible for overseeing cybersecurity compliance within ATCO companies and ensuring compliance with ATCO Control Standards (ACSs), applicable laws and regulations, and ATCO policies, and procedures within a federated IT organization. We are looking for someone We require someone with a solid understanding of the Cyber NIST Framework and the evidence required to ensure conformance. The Cybersecurity Compliance Analyst will ensure that ATCO meets the security requirements detailed in the ACSs. And this role is dedicated to applying management skills, consulting knowledge, and Cybersecurity training in the performance of the Cybersecurity Compliance for the ATCO Group.

The role is located at either our Edmonton or Calgary offices.

What You Get To Do:

  • Develop compliance strategies by contributing information, analysis, and recommendations to senior leaders by establishing functional objectives in line with ATCO\'s IT federated model.
  • Collaborate with ATCO leadership to develop corporate governance for compliance within an IT federated model.
  • Develop and oversee ATCO\'s security policies and procedures in accordance with s ACSs (based on the NIST Framework), industry regulations, standards, and laws.
  • Develop and implement the Cybersecurity compliance methodology for the ATCO group.
  • Define metrics to measure the effectiveness of controls and compliance across ATCO Companies.
  • Develop a comprehensive program for attestations, report and escalation of non-conformances and deviations from ACSs.
  • Quarterly compliance reporting to senior leaders. Annual reports for IT and business executives on compliance status across ATCO companies and key vendors. Act as the contact point for all IT-focused Internal Audit inquiries and initiatives.
  • Ad hoc creation and delivery of compliance presentations as required. Trends in laws and regulations.
  • Provide training and support in understanding the ACS with representatives within ATCO companies.
  • Minimizes legal risks by understanding current and proposed legislation, enforcing regulations, recommending new procedures, and complying with legal requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Regularly assess the efficiency of control systems and recommend effective improvements.
  • Assist and advise on Internal Audit activities supporting ATCO\'s external Audit partners.
  • Provide subject matter expertise in IT controls, frameworks, and risks.
  • Ensure that changes in internal/external Audit standards and applicable regulations are reflected in CISO compliance artifacts and standards.
  • Provide cybersecurity risk-related guidance to employees, colleagues, and/or customers.
  • Support Risk Manager, Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, as required. Also support team members in performance of cybersecurity governance activities.
Who You Are:
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Cybersecurity or business continuity management and compliance related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of direct cybersecurity compliance experience, ideally with 2 years of experience in Information/Cyber Security, Technology Management, Compliance or Technology Audits
  • CISA, CISA CISSP, CISM or SABSA-SCF designation is an asset.
  • Experience working in Cybersecurity and IT teams within large organizations build strong relationships with peers, customers, and partners.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulations and standards relevant to the organization\'s industry and location.
  • Experience working in IT Federated environments.
  • Ability to work with 3rd parties to explain and demonstrate policy compliance.
  • Customer service driven and attention to detail is a must.
  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in an environment with changing requirements, schedules, and priorities.
  • Able to communicate clearly and concisely with a range of associates and senior executives.
  • Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently and work well in groups.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional initiatives. Experience supporting Auditors and translating audit requirements to specific information requests.
  • Excellent record-keeping and documentation skills, along with attention to detail.
  • Skills to manage compliance projects and initiatives, including audits and assessments.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with non-technical executives and staff.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experienced in a federated IT environment.
  • A desire to remain current with emerging Cybersecurity vulnerabilities, threats, legislation, and industry best practices.
  • Strategic and transformative in approach and yet delivery focused.
