Key Responsibilities


Conduct pipeline as-built surveying and analyze pipeline geometry and inspection survey data. Create high-resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) from LiDAR datasets. Design and produce pipeline alignment sheets, plan/profile views, and cross-sections using Civil3D, AutoCAD Map3D, or ArcMap. Perform coordinate transformations and manage projections and datums with precision. Collaborate with engineering and field teams to ensure accurate spatial data integration. Develop and maintain data manipulation routines--experience with MS Visual Studio is a strong asset. Ensure data quality and compliance with project and regulatory standards.

Expected:



Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, GIS, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in GIS engineering, preferably in the pipeline or energy sector. Proficiency in Civil3D, AutoCAD Map3D, ArcMap, and LiDAR processing tools. Deep understanding of coordinate systems, projections, and geodetic datums. Experience with spatial databases and scripting (Python, Visual Studio, etc.). Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently to meet deadlines. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset. * Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta.
