The primary responsibility for the Cutting Machine Operator is to ensure fabric for our inhouse and co-manufacturing operations is cut to established quality and production targets. The Machine Operator optimizes production of Cut Fabrics through acquired skills and experience on the assigned Cutting Machines and equipment.
The incumbent accurately completes cutting production documents providing the Cutting Supervisor with timely performance details, inventory and deliveries. All duties are performed in compliance with all internal and legislative safety standards.
Machine Operations:
Optimize output of cut fabrics from the assigned cutting machine(s)
Perform all operations in a safe manner following all procedures and guidelines
Demonstrate working knowledge of written and oral procedures
Proficiently operate pallet jack
Maintain safe and orderly work area
General and Administrative Responsibilities:
Monitor and track inventory on fabric in and out of the assigned machine(s)
Deliver fabric to required operations in a timely manner
Responsible to order cut goods
Fusing plackets as required on garments
Operation of the tubing machine as required
Aptitude for learning new skills and tasks within the cutting department
Accurately complete basic paper work
Participate in inventory counts when assigned (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly)
Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
Perform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, being respectful and considerate of all team members.
Abide by all applicable Health and Safety company policies and government legislation/regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
Education, Skills and Experience:
High School Diploma
1 year of experience
Basic English and math. Ability to read, speak and write English.
Ability to learn new skills quickly and work within a fast-paced environment

Working conditions:
No travel requirements
Physical environment: 100% Plant/Factory
Physical demands: Low to moderate intensity. Standing for long durations. Occasional requirement to lift up to 40lbs, pushing and pulling pallet jacks up to 800lbs.
Mental effort: Low intensity with periods of moderate effort
