Position Title: Cutter Deck Operator (Term)

Position Type: Temporary - Full-Time aEUR<

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Ability to work on a rotating shift basis.
• Enroll in WHMIS Training Program.
• Physically capable of performing all required duties, i.e.: lifting, pulling, shoveling, pushing, climbing and piling all types of materials as required.
• Work in extreme temperature, high humidity and dusty conditions.
• Function in a noisy environment and wear hearing protection.
• Work with all required safety equipment.
• Demonstrated mathematical ability through successful completion of a timed written test.
• Satisfactory past job performance.

Requirements:

• Complete all procedures and check sheets.
• Work under the direction of the Production Supervisor.
• Perform PEF bend test to ensure potatoes are conditioned adequately to prevent shattering of the raw material.
• Change cutter tubes, adjust sizer to maximize cutter performance.
• Adjust sliver removers to minimize waste.
• Monitor performance of the cutting system and change cutter heads when needed (e.g. rough cut, nicked blade, etc.)
• Responsible for the operation of all cutting, sorting and defect removal equipment.
• Communicate with other departments as required.
• Accurately relate/maintain all required documentation.
• Perform all duties in a safe, accurate and efficient manner.
• Housekeeping of work area to established standards.
• Provide help in other areas of production as required.
• Responsible to take corrective action on malfunctions or deficiencies that arise based on defect removal efficiency testing.
• Maintain a 5-S work area.
• All other duties as assigned
