Cut Knife Community School

Summary of Position

This is a Permanent full time School Liaison position, commencing August 25, 2025. Position hours are

7.5 hours per day, Monday to Friday.

As a School Liaison Worker, you will be responsible for building genuine relationships with students/families and community partners and advocating for those who experience barriers to success in school.

Accountabilities

Enhance relationships between school and home to meet student needs - including home visits Act as the link between school, home, and community to support student and family wellness Provide support to students who are experiencing social, emotional and/or behavioural dysregulation Enhance connections to Indigenous and/or multicultural communities. Ensure students' social and emotional needs are met as part of an inclusive school system. Support student learning and success using a strength-based, individualized approach Assist in the development and/or implementation of preventative programs and activities for individuals and groups Build relationships and provide necessary connections with partner organizations to help families access needed resources and/or services

Qualifications

Preference will be given to a candidate with post-secondary training in Social Services, Human Services, Psychology, or Sociology. Has the ability to work independently and is self-motivated. Preference will be given to someone with a background in social work, though it is not necessary Equivalent training and experience will be considered The ability to offer life skills, social skills and anger management programming would be an asset Valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract with access to a reliable vehicle

Preference will be given to someone with a background in social work, though it is not necessary
