KWE IS CURRENTLY HIRING A CUSTOMS IMPORT SUPPORT LEAD KWE is currently looking for a Customs Import Support Lead who is focused on delivering a world class customer service experience to our valued customers. REQUIREMENTS
  • Formal Academic Training in related field (CITT or CIFFA preferred) and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to create, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

DETAILS OF THE JOB
  • Track all Ocean Imports for AB and BC in the ITMR4 system.
  • Assist the Ocean import operation (ocean, freight, and sales), ensure accurate processing of paperwork to minimize errors.
  • Provide shipment information for customers and support in obtaining rates and quotes for services.
  • Complete all documentation bill of lading, all modes of transportation to current legislations/regulations as per the Canada Transportation Act.
  • Coordinate shipments and send pre-alert notices to customers and related departments as required.
  • Manage the Daily Ocean Import Tracker using excel spread sheets.
  • Assist the brokerage team to ensure to ensure timely customs clearance for clients.
  • Accurately complete documentation and paperwork to ensure all terminal fees, demurrage, storage fees, etc. are paid in a timely manner.
  • Work with CN and CP managing company internal accounts and ensure pick up numbers are assigned.
  • Arrange freight pick up, and coordinate with third party carriers as required.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal brokers, carriers, and clients.
  • Provide exceptional Customer Service to internal and external clients.
