Richelieu Hardware is seeking a
Manager - Customs and Trade Compliance
for our head office located in
Ville Saint-Laurent, Quebec
.
Reporting to the Director of Customs Compliance and International Trade, the Manager oversees day?to?day operations, team coordination, and operational compliance, while ensuring the transfer of critical knowledge and supporting the team's development.
More specifically, the main responsibilities of the position are to
:
Support and supervise employees involved in customs operations, transportation, and documentation
Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of import and export declarations
Prepare and validate customs documentation (import/export, invoicing, supporting files)
Coordinate daily work with customs brokers and consultants
Review customs and transportation invoices and report discrepancies
Support duty recovery programs (remission, drawback, etc.)
Maintain compliant records and ensure audit readiness
Identify operational risks and escalate them to the Director
Train and support internal teams in applying procedures
Requirements:
SCD / CSCB Certification
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in customs, trade compliance, or brokerage
Experience working with U.S. Partner Government Agencies (PGAs)
Knowledge of import/export regulations for the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Proficiency in English; spoken and written French
College diploma in Transportation and Logistics (an asset)
