Functional Summary





We are looking for a results-driven Customs Brokerage Sales Executive with proven experience in customs brokerage and bonded warehouse solutions. This role will focus on generating new business for our Canadian customs clearance services and bonded warehouse offerings, including CW Bonded and FTZ storage. The ideal candidate will be confident engaging with eCommerce brands, freight forwarders, and importers, and will possess strong communication skills.

Fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Spanish is considered a strong asset.



Main duties & Responsibilities




Sell customs brokerage services for B2B and B2C eCommerce importers (CLVS, LVS, IID, F-Type) Promote CW Bonded Warehouse services for short-term storage, deconsolidation, and transload clients Present FTZ warehousing solutions to international importers seeking duty deferral or exemption strategies Engage importers, 3PLs, and logistics buyers through outbound sales, events, and network outreach Host facility tours and walk clients through warehousing capabilities and clearance workflows Collaborate with brokerage and operations to ensure seamless customer onboarding Maintain accurate activity and pipeline tracking using CRM tools Stay up to date on CBSA regulations, CARM updates, and FTZ/Bonded warehouse policies Identify and target new clients for customs clearance services through cold calling, networking, and lead generation. Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business and referrals. Conduct needs assessments with potential and existing clients to understand their customs clearance requirements, providing tailored recommendations to streamline their import/export processes. Effectively communicate and promote the company's customs clearance services, highlighting key benefits such as regulatory compliance, speed, and cost-effectiveness. Prepare accurate and competitive quotes for customs clearance services, and create tailored proposals to address client needs. Educate clients about relevant customs regulations, documentation requirements, and procedures to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance. Work closely with operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery for clients and resolve any issues that may arise during the customs clearance process. Monitor industry trends, competitors, and market opportunities to identify new sales prospects and improve service offerings. Report regularly to sales management on sales activities, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications




5+ years of B2B sales experience in customs brokerage and bonded warehousing Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, international trade, or a related field is preferred Demonstrated ability to close logistics or service-based sales deals High degree of comfort with CBSA clearance types (CLVS, LVS, IID, F-Type), CW Bonded warehouses, and FTZ programs Strong communication and negotiation skills

Language fluency in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Spanish is an asset

but not mandatory Able to travel for client meetings and warehouse tours Experience in international trade and knowledge of customs regulations is a plus. Ability to understand and interpret complex customs regulations. Customer-focused with excellent relationship-building skills. Self-motivated and goal-oriented with the ability to work independently. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). CRM software experience (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) is a plus.
