At Sideshift, we're redefining what's possible on the water. As a Canadian innovator, we design and manufacture advanced aftermarket bow and stern thruster systems that deliver precision, confidence, and total control for recreational boaters worldwide. Our systems are trusted in 60+ countries for their performance, value, and easy retrofit installation.
Now, we're entering an exciting new phase of growth--expanding our direct-to-consumer presence, building stronger channel partnerships and bringing the next generation of marine technology to life.
The Right Fit
You are detail-driven, thrive under pressure, and know how to balance sales focus with customer care. You don't just close deals--you build relationships. And when challenges come up? You troubleshoot, adapt, and make it right.
The Role
We're looking for a Customer Solutions Specialist who thrives at the intersection of sales, technical knowledge, and customer experience. This isn't just about answering inquiries--it's about guiding boat owners to the right solution, closing deals, and making sure every customer feels supported long after their purchase.
You'll be the voice (and problem-solver) customers count on. From fitment guidance and quoting to first line troubleshooting and pipeline management, you'll turn interest into sales and questions into loyalty.
If you're someone who combines technical know-how with communication finesse--and you love the idea of helping boaters maneuver with ease--you'll feel right at home here.
What You'll Do
Be the first point of contact for inbound customer inquiries (phone, email, chat)
Match products to applications--help customers choose the right thruster system for their vessel
Deliver fast, accurate quotes with pricing, timelines, and upsell recommendations
Own the customer journey from inquiry to delivery, ensuring a seamless experience
Manage your sales pipeline in CRM with discipline and follow-through
Troubleshoot first-line technical issues--setup, installation, operation, and post-sales support
Build out helpful customer resources (FAQs, guides, best practices)
Collaborate with engineering and product teams on escalations, recurring issues, and product refinements
Assist with orders, logistics, and inventory checks as needed
Support product launches by communicating new features to customers and teams
Hit targets in sales, quoting, conversions, and customer satisfaction
What You Bring
? 10+ years of experience in inside sales, technical sales, or customer support with physical products
? Technical aptitude--comfortable with mechanical/electromechanical/electrical systems
? Strong communicator who can explain technical details clearly to non-technical people
? CRM savvy--organized, efficient, and disciplined with follow-ups
? A customer-first mindset: patient, proactive, and driven to deliver exceptional service
Bonus Points For:
Marine or recreational powersports experience
Bilingual English/French
Experience with installation documentation or schematics
Comfort in outbound sales (upselling, follow-ups, opportunity spotting)
