Position Overview:

Dorset Timber Mart is looking for a reliable and hardworking

Yard Laborer

to join our team. This full-time position involves hands-on work in our lumber yard, where you'll play a key role in supporting daily operations, ensuring a safe and efficient yard, and helping with customer service when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in

loading and unloading

materials such as lumber, building supplies, and other products Organize and

maintain the yard

to ensure cleanliness and efficiency Operate forklifts and other equipment safely (training provided if needed) Assist customers in locating and loading purchased materials Inspect incoming deliveries and

stock materials

in designated areas Ensure proper care and handling of all products to prevent damage Adhere to safety standards and

maintain a safe work environment

Skills and Qualifications:

Ability to perform

physical labor

(lifting, bending, moving heavy items) Strong work ethic and the ability to

work well with a team

Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions Valid

G license

preferred (or willingness to obtain) Forklift experience is an asset but not required--

training will be provided

Previous experience in a lumber yard or similar environment is a plus but not mandatory

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.20-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Work Location: In person
