As the Customer Service Representative, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing our customers with a seamless experience while working hand in hand with production and logistics to capitalize on internal efficiencies.

Your day to day activities will include:

• Primary responsibility for switchboard / reception and assisting visitors to the site
• Take phone orders for all species
• Ability to proactively forecast feed orders and expected delivery dates
• Manage automated feeding programs and standing orders, apply for veterinary prescriptions, coordinate with sales rep and production staff
• Enter orders to Millstone software, print and check
• Print product tags and veterinary prescriptions for each order (requires familiarity with Medicating Ingredients Brochure)
• Add new customer information to files, including shipping location, special instructions, flock identification records
• Record feed inventory records as reported by delivery personnel in Aeros Live Animal Management software
• Preparation of raw ingredient and feed samples for submission to laboratory for testing and analysis; assist with in-house testing
• Cross training to review truck driver daily logs and destination sheets, gather additional information as required and complete verification for Feed Assure
• Cross training to provide back up to the invoicing and accounts payable functions
• Complete office filing including customer invoice, batching and order history, historical records maintenance
• Support of Feed Assure and Health & Safety Program program as required\
• Other duties as assigned

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Minimum of OSSD, post-secondary education would be preferred.
• Minimum of 2 Years of experience in customer service
• Agricultural background is preferable, with a working knowledge of medication and the MIB
• Strong Computer and Typing Skills, especially Office, Excel, Word
• Ability to work in a team environment and independently
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Demonstrate applicable ethics and due diligence.
• Manage time effectively.
• Effective attention to detail.
