Customer Service Representative Intern

As a Customer Service Representative Intern, you will gain valuable industry experience along with personal and professional skills to begin building your career.

Your day to day activities will include:

• Enter customers' orders
• Ensure the timely resolution of any issues that arise with sales, production, invoicing, etc. and communicate effectively with all affected parties
• Negotiate customer emergency deliveries and work closely with production to prioritize deliveries
• Assist Accounts Receivable and provide back up as required
• Assist and provide back up to the Invoice Clerks
• Liaise with Quality Control to ensure all Quality Assurance requirements accompany loads as required
• Work closely with collections staff
• Generate various reports and support the Sales Team
• Filing of paperwork

The successful candidate should enter the position with the following qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a business and/or accounting program
• Strong customer service skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook & Excel)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to type at a speed of 40-45 words per minute
• Ability to stay organized while ensuring attention to detail and accuracy is consistently met
• Ability to work independently as well as within the customer service team and other departments as required
• Experience in a Customer Service role is an asset
